TWO assault rifles were found on the floor in General Solomon Mujuru's bedroom on the day he died in an inferno while 15 other guns were in a gun cabinet close to the bedroom.
The investigating officer in Gen Mujuru's case, Chief Superintendent Crispen Makedenge, yesterday said they recovered 17 firearms and some ammunition in the house.
He was testifying in the inquest into the late General's death at the Harare Magistrate Courts.

THE Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Museum in Bulawayo's Matsheumhlophe suburb opened to the public yesterday with senior Government officials, teachers and headmasters from the city's secondary schools visiting the place.
The Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo National Foundation (JMNNF) turned the late national hero's Matsheumhlophe house at number 17 Aberdeen Road, into a monumental museum which it completely refurbished in 2007.
